[ARCHIVED] New Village Beach Parking Permit Regulations will take effect May 22, 2020

The following are the revised regulations regarding Southampton Village 2020 Beach Parking Permits.
This will take effect on May 22, 2020. Please note, permit requests postmarked prior to 5/22/20 will be honored at current regulations.

Village Resident Permit
Village Property owners are eligible for up to (3) Permits for eligible vehicles per property.
Village Business owners (or a designated manager for that business) are entitled to (1) Permit
Additional permits may NOT be purchased at the Summer Visitor Rate.
Residents must provide:
A copy of a valid car registration for each car for which you want to receive a permit.
A copy of your current tax bill.
A telephone number in case we need to reach you for more information
A self-addressed stamped envelope where you want your permit sent. If there is not a S.A.S.E. we will not send your permit out. It is suggested that you also include a form of tracking on the S.A.S.E.

For Year Round Renters in the Village
A copy of a valid registration for each car for which you wish to receive a permit.
A telephone number in case we need to reach you for more information.
A self-addressed, stamped envelope (S.A.S.E.) where you want your permit sent. If there is not a S.A.S.E. we will not send your permit out. It is suggested that you also include a form of tracking on the S.A.S.E.
Original utility bills showing your name and service to Village address from the April/May 2019, Winter 2020 and current.

Local Non-Village Resident - (residing within Southampton Fire or School District): $250 (Senior citizens / Veterans $175)
Only 1 permit may be issued for each property
Please provide:
A check or money order made out to the Village of Southampton in the amount of $250 per car. (Senior citizens / Veterans $175 - one vehicle per household)
A copy of a valid registration for each car for which you wish to receive a permit.
A copy of your Southampton Town tax bill.
A self-addressed stamped envelope where you want your permit sent. If there is not a S.A.S.E. we will not send your permit out. It is suggested that you also include a form of tracking on the S.A.S.E.
*  Seniors must provide proof that they will be 65 years old by September 7, 2020; Veterans must provide a current Military ID or DD 214.

Summer Visitor Pass: $450
(1) Summer Visitor Permit will only be available to individuals renting in the Village of Southampton for 30 days or longer.
Must provide:
A check or money order made out to the Village of Southampton in the amount of $450 - there is no Senior Discount for this pass.
A copy of a valid car registration for vehicle you want a Permit for - only 1 is permitted.
A telephone number in case we need to reach you for more information.
A self-addressed stamped envelope where you want your permit sent.  If there is not a S.A.S.E. we will not send your permit out. It is suggested that you also include a form of tracking on the S.A.S.E..
*Hotels, Motels and BNB’s must purchase a minimum of ten (10) permits

Daily Passes
The Village will NOT be selling Daily Passes
Tour Busses may not drop groups off at any Village Beaches
All regulations for Village Employees and Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Members remain unchanged

Additional Information:
All permits will continue to be issued by MAIL Only.
Village Hall is CLOSED to the Public and therefore NOT handling any in-person transactions.
The Village will be installing a drop box in front of Village Hall beginning Monday May 18.
There will be NO transactions at Coopers Beach.

Additional Beach Protocols:
All beach heads will have signage and be patrolled.
Dune Beach bathrooms will be closed.
No porta potties at beach heads.
All beach heads will have signs showing social distancing and mask requirements as well as emphasizing cleaning up after leaving and taking rubbish home if cans are full.
Procedures for bathroom use will be clearly posted.
Bathrooms will be cleaned every 30-60 minutes.
All picnic tables will be removed.
No rentals of beach chairs or umbrellas.
