The festivities begin on Friday night with the Southampton Rotary Club Cocktail Party under the tent in Agawam Park with DJ Tony Kerr and the Coverland Band and continues throughout the weekend with concerts in Agawam Park including Sturdy Souls, That Motown Band, Next Level Band, Mean Machine, Certain Moves, Lynn Blue Band and Southbound. The annual Chowder Contest begins at 12PM on Saturday, plus fine art vendors from Southampton Artists Association, corn-hole games, caricatures, rescue demonstrations by Southampton EMS Departments and A Taste of the East End food vendors and food trucks.
Jobs Lane will become a Pedestrian-only Zone on Saturday until 6PM to further enhance SouthamptonFest activities. Please be aware that there will be no through-traffic during that time. On Jobs Lane will be the Farmers Market with jewelry and craft vendors, live music by Liam Meaney, Certain Moves, Andrew Weiss and Friends, DJ Double S and Latin Dance instruction with Jaime Ruiz. There'll be "parking space" chalk art, sidewalk sales and more!
On Saturday, visit KidsZone on the west lawn of 25 Jobs Lane (Southampton Arts Center) where the kids can visit with The Party Pups, decorate pumpkins, play musical chairs, have their faces painted, take part in Jim Turner's Interactive Kids Rock Concert and "Meet the Animals" from Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue. While at 25 Jobs, visit the galleries at Southampton Arts Center to see PAINT YOUR WORLD, a 40-year retrospective of the work of Michael Paraskevas with illustrations, paintings, animation and sketchbooks.
Over at Southampton History Museum the fun continues at the annual Harvest Day Fair from 11am-4pm with demonstrations including blacksmithing, basketry, sheep shearing, and quill writing. Colonial Militia re-enactors and members of the Shinnecock Nation will be present.
