In anticipation of potential heavy rain bands from Hurricane Dorian this weekend, Southampton Village will be opening the Lake Agawam drain beginning Wednesday morning, September 4. Currently, the Lake is 12” above ideal and less than 2” from flood.The drain will remain open until the incoming storm surge naturally closes the cut or the Village will manually close the drain on Friday morning. Signage will be posted along the cut as well as in the parking lot and along the beach.
