Beaches

Southampton Village has approximately seven miles of extraordinary oceanfront with eleven individual beaches.  For information about obtaining beach permits, go to 2023 Beach Permits on the home page, click on the UMBRELLA.  All beaches, except for Coopers Beach,
are unregulated and lack lifeguard supervision.

  • Coopers Beach - 268 Meadow Lane (main beach with concession stand, chair rentals for $15 and umbrella rentals for $20 each per day, bathrooms, and fresh water showers). Daily parking permit $50 per car per day.

  • Agawam Park - 60 acre fresh water
  • Elias Pelletreau Silversmith Shop - Built in 1686
  • Historical Museum - Opened in 1951
  • Monument Square - Erected in 1897 in memory of the soldiers and sailors of Southampton who served their country
  • Thomas Halsey Homestead - Built in 1648 is the oldest English frame house in the state
