For more years than we can remember, the center of our village has been set aglow with holiday magic. Our holiday tradition is entirely the result of generous contributions by people like yourself –residents, friends, and members of the business community.This letter of appeal is our only means of raising funds to make the holiday bright.So please, respond generously with your check made payable to the “Christmas Decorations Committee”.
We will be placing 140 Christmas trees, twinkling lights, festive wreaths and garland throughout SouthamptonVillage. Santa and his reindeer will fly across Main Street, the Methodist Church will once again host the manger scene and the train station will be spruced up for a warm holiday welcome.
On Saturday, December 6th our tree lighting festivities begin at 4:30 with the Parade of Lights courtesy of the Volunteer Fire Departments ending at AgawamPark where carols will be sung by VOSH –Voices of Southampton under the direction of Jim Tartaglia and soloist Julie Van Nostrand.Rev. Peter Larson will be lightning the tree - so come join us, and the families of Paul & Phyllis Wright Parash and Dick Armusewicz, as we light this year’s tree in their memory. Paul, Phyllis and Dick served the Village and this committee for many years.
Join your friends and neighbors for a visit with Santa and hot chocolate served in the CulturalCenter – a special time to be together.
